You can organise a side-event during the 6^th World Water Forum week.
Side-events are single events happening within the Parc Chanot during the Forum week. They will mainly be organised during lunch breaks, and will be open to all Forum participants.

The deadline for submitting the side event application form is January 1st, 2012.

All applications will be reviewed by the 6^th World Water Forum Secretariat. Due to space limitation, sending an application does not guarantee that your side-event will take place. The Forum reserves the right to choose the events which will be organised.
The criteria are as follows:

• High relevance for the objectives of the 6th World Water Forum of identifying solutions and encouraging commitments from various stakeholders ( see the Forum’s Thematic Framework and thematic and regional targets)

• Contribution to the diversity of the overall Forum Week programme in terms of formats, topics, regions, stakeholders, target-audience, convenors, opinions, etc.

• Opportunity to network and develop partnerships on common issues and solutions

• Brainstorming of innovative ideas on a relevant topic

• Open-debates on a relevant topic with speakers holding differing views

Registered side-events will be announced on this website and will appear in the Forum programme and the official documentation given to participants.
