    Marseille is on the main route of major railway lines. Its international airport is served by 103 direct lines.

    Travel to Marseille by train

    The Saint Charles train station, in the very heart of Marseille, is a 15 minute walk from Marseille's famous Vieux Port and 5 metro stops away from the Parc Chanot venue.
    There are direct TGV’s from Paris or Toulouse (3 hours), Brussels and Geneva (5h20) and Bordeaux (6 hours). Travelling from London will take you 7 hours combining the Eurostar and the TGV.

    Travel to Marseille by plane

    The international airport Aéroport Marseille Provence, situated near the town of Marignane, is a 25 minute drive away from the center of Marseille. It is France's 4th airport.

    From the airport, take a taxi or use the Airport shuttle service to take you straight to the Gare Saint Charles, Marseille main train station.

    Shuttle service from Marseille Airport to St-Charles train station
    From Monday to Sunday you have the option of taking a bus to the St. Charles train station (duration 25 minutes - price 8€50). Departures occur every 20 minutes between 4:30 am and 11:30 pm from the MP1 terminal (between lobbies 3-4 and 1).     Taxi station of the airport

    The taxis from Marseille-Provence airport ensure continuous service 7 days per week and 24 hours per day from the MRS and MP2 terminals The prices for going to downtown Marseille are 40€ during the day and 50€ at night (30km). The night price applies from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, Sundays and Bank Holidays.     Travel to Marseille by car

    Marseille is connected to major French, Spanish and Italian cities by 3 motorways.

    Going to Parc Chanot

    By Car

    • From the North: Highway A7 (Paris, Lyon, Bruxelles) – Exit 36, follow "Menpenti," "5 Avenues," "Stade Vélodrome," "Parc Chanot,"
    • From the Coast: A55 (Arles, Montpellier, Barcelone, Toulouse) – Follow "Tunnel du Prado Carénage," "Stade Vélodrome,"
    • From the East: Highway A50 (Toulon, Nice, Milan, Turin, Gênes) – Follow "Centre-Ville," "La Plage."

    Note: Due to security measures, no parking will be authorised near or within Parc Chanot, except in the case of official World Water Forum vehicles, diplomatic vehicles or consular vehicles dropping off their delegation leaders or ministers.

    By Metro

    To go to Parc Chanot, you will have the option of taking the Metro towards "Sainte Marguerite Dromel" (line M2, "Rond-Point du Prado" stop).

    By Bus

    You can also go to Parc Chanot by bus via the following lines ("Rond-Point du Prado" stop): 19 / 21 / 23 / 41 / 44 / 45 / 72 / 83.

    Leaving Marseille

    Going to the airport by taxi

    You can reserve your taxi directly from your hotel or at the Forum reception desk. When you get into the vehicle, inform the driver of your departure terminal. The taxis from Marseille-Provence airport ensure continuous service 7 days per week and 24 hours per day from the MRS and MP2 terminals.
    The prices for going to the airport from downtown Marseille are 40€ during the day and 50€ at night (30km). The night price applies from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    Bus from the St. Charles Station in Marseille

    Every 20 minutes from 4:30 am to 11:30pm, you can take a bus to the airport from the bus station at the St. Charles train station (duration 25 minutes - price 8€50). The buses service terminals MP2 and MP1.

    Going to the Train Station

    From Parc Chanot, you can take the metro line 2 ("Rond-point du Prado" stop) towards "Bougainville," until the "Gare Saint Charles" stop.
