Solidarités International Calls for Political Actions

Solidarités International has presented Henry de Raincourt, French Minister of Cooperation, his petition for commitments to water access. Alain Boinet, CEO and founder of the French NGO, called for a  revision of the optimistic figures stated by the UN , "the reality is that 3.6 million people die due to unsafe water". He stresses the need to accompany the emergency aid transition to development, to double the aid budget allocated to public water, and to make water and sanitation as a priority in the seven Millennium Development Goals.
