The 2nd Stakeholder Consultation Meeting organised in Paris on 17 and 18 January 2011 was attended by more than 400 international experts from 50 different countries worked together to progress on the four processes (political, thematic, regional and local) of the 6th World Water Forum which will be held from 12 to 17 March 2012 in Marseille, France.
Participants’ fruitful contributions have produced a common list of strategic targets that will set the stage for the identification of solutions and action plans throughout the Forum’s preparation.
The 6th World Water Forum, co-organised by the French Government, the City of Marseille and the World Water Council, aims to be “the Forum of solutions and commitments”. The Forum’s four processes are now set on coordinating their work to identify and facilitate the implementation of solutions to achieve the common targets and priorities for action.
