WASH United awarded for its hygiene education campaign by the African Ministers’ Council on Water

The charity organisation is using football as a vehicle for social change, reaching this way more than 20 million people in Africa. The 2011 AMCOW Award, attended by Rwanda’s president Paul Kagame and more than 40 other Ministers and dignitaries, rewarded the virtual football club on July 20 at the AfricaSan3 in Kigali for its outstanding contribution to promoting sanitation and hygiene.

Wash United works worldwide to increase access to drinking water and to promote sanitation and hygiene for everyone, everywhere. It is labelled and supported by the Grassroots and citizenship commission of the Forum and is partner of the Olympique de Marseille football club.
