CGIAR-CPWF (Challenge Programme on Water and Food) and EDF (Électricité de France) convened a high level panel to discuss and suggest solutions for inherently inter-linked and inter-dependent processes on water, food and energy. From case studies and interactive discussions with the audience, the following points transpired: the need for increased coherence for greater integration, accelerating access to basic natural resources, further strategies for creating "more with less" (increased resource productivity), grass-root participatory approach for sustainability.
As a way forward, the session agreed that the Nexus water, food and energy needs to be anchored into the upcoming Rio+20 outcomes.
