Water Days
2-7 October 2011 - Bas-du-Fort, Guadeloupe (France)
This year, Water Days are held at the new Palais des Sports of Gosier (Guadeloupe).
The 6th World Water Forum will participate in this event through 2 workshops, on Thursday, October 6th:
- From 9am to 11am, workshop “Local authorities and water management”, with the participation of Mr. André Flajolet, Commissioner for the 6th World Water Forum, Mr. Patrick Lavarde, thematic process committee vice president, Mrs. Céline Dubreuil, from the World Water Council, and Mr. Victor Pochat, America region process coordinator.
- From 2pm to 5.30pm, workshop “Water management inside the European Outermost region and cooperation with non European neighbors”, with the participation of Mr. Serge Letchimy, President of the Outermost Region Conference, Mr. Jean-François Donzier, Europe Regional Process coordinator, Mr. Pierre Roussel, from the french Ministry of Ecology, and Mr. Daniel Chomet, Martinique Basin Committee President.
The Forum will also organise, on the same day, a side-event from 11am to 12.30.
Mr. André Flajolet, Commissioner to the 6th World Water Forum, Mr. Patrick Lavarde, Vice-President of the Thematic process of the International Forum Committee, Mr. François Lacroix, Director of the Programme of the International Forum Committee and Mr. Pierre Roussel, from the french Ministry of Ecology, will present the Forum and its preparatory processes.
