The city that hosts the headquarters of the World Water Council and the 6th World Water Forum to come in March 2012 (Parc Chanot) is putting water once more on the public place with a debate on the future of water in the area. The Association “Pensons le Grand Marseille” opened the discussion with a conference on” Issues and challenges of a scarce resource: what future for water? ”
Renaud Muselier, Representative of the Bouches-du-Rhone, President of the Association for the Grand Marseille, will lead the conference on water, essential for life and for the city. He insisted on the necessity to integrate water management ahead of all new city development, and this from a demographic, urban planning, economic activities and tourism standpoints. An expertise that the City of Marseille has gained over 2 centuries.
