Singapore - Saturday 9th July 2011 - The progress of the Asia-Pacific Regional Process for the 6th World Water Forum will be presented, with a focus on preliminary target action plans from the Target & Solution Groups, up to the Marseille Forum next March and beyond 2012.
Targets will be discussed and revised for each of the following regional priorities:
This meeting, co-chaired by Erna Witoelar and Ravi Narayanan, Vice Chairs of the Asia Pacific Water Forum (APWF) Governing Council, will also be the occasion to launch the 6th World Water Forum call to submit case studies of key existing and innovative solutions that contribute to achieving the targets.
The APWF regional meeting follows the Singapore International Water Week where the International Forum Committee of the 6th World Water Forum (IFC) presented the objectives and the preparatory processes of the Marseille Forum 2012, as well as the 6 ways to contribute to it.
