France celebrates first anniversary of human right to safe water and sanitation

On Wednesday 27 July, France took part in a General Assembly session at the United Nations in New York, following an invitation from Bolivia, to celebrate the adoption of the 64/292 resolution, which acknowledged, one year ago, this basic human right.

Alongside the United Nations Secretary-General, over 35 countries and many civil society organisations were also present.
