Water at the heart of European Heritage Days in Provence, Sept. 17 & 18, 2011

History of water and energy in Provence – Dams (Serre-Ponçon, Sainte-Croix du Verdon), power plants (L’Argentière la Bessée, Saint-Dalmas de Tende) and other water sites in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region (France) open their doors to the public and offer the opportunity for everyone to discover water supply, production of hydroelectric power, water works, etc. Through these different sites, combining heritage and modernity, operators will welcome the public at the heart of the sustainable management of water in a dry area.

In view of the 6th World Water Forum in March 2012, other events will be organised throughout the year; designed to promote the hydraulic heritage of Provence to local audiences, these events will be announced on our website, in our “Upcoming events” section.
