2nd Coordination Meeting of the Youth Initiatives

Leaders of all of the 6^th Forum’s Youth Initiatives met on Monday January 23, 2012, in Marseille to discuss the Youth sessions and the format of the Youth process outputs.

One of the main outputs related to the Youth initiative will be the Youth Vision, which will be presented March 14, during the Forum week in Marseille. A debate will follow on how to implement the Youth Vision. Outputs of this debate will be presented Friday March 16, 2012.

Also discussed was how to create continuity with the Major Groups Youth & Children Task Force on Water which will be present at the Rio+20 summit in June 2012.

The first meeting of the Youth Initiatives’ process was held in Douai, November 7 to 10, 2011 which was named World Capital for Water and Youth for the occasion. The next important milestone of the process will be the “kick off” visioconference on February, 15.
