3 & 17 November 2011 - Buenos Aires, Argentina & Medellin, Colombia

During the XII meeting of the Conference of Ibero-American Water Directors (CODIA), representatives of the Americas’ preparatory process for the 6th World Water Forum presented and debated the draft messages and targets produced as a result of this process, reaching agreement with the CODIA for both the Conference as such, and the national governments it gathers, to support this process in the build-up to the 6th World Water Forum, to be held in Marseille, France, in March 2012.

Also, in the framework of the Seventh Inter-American Dialogue on Water Management (D7), the Americas’ preparatory process towards the 6th World Water Forum presented and enriched its six thematic priorities, eleven regional targets, as well as identifying a number of water “solutions” in the region, in an inclusive dialogue with more than 1000 participants.
